Cookie Policy
Last updated: November 2, 2026
This policy explains how ToolStackPulse uses cookies and similar technologies when you browse reviews, use search, or manage cookie preferences. For a broader overview of data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and scripts that help a site remember preferences, measure traffic, or attribute referrals.
Where you browse from
If our systems indicate you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we show a cookie banner and load non-essential analytics or advertising tags only after you accept. Outside those regions, we may load Google Tag Manager and related measurement tags by default to operate and improve the site—without a banner—while still offering controls on this page. If we cannot determine your region, we treat the visit as requiring consent.
Necessary cookies
We use necessary cookies to keep the site secure and operational. For example, the admin dashboard may set a session cookie so authorized staff can stay signed in. These cookies are required for those features and are not used for advertising.
Analytics cookies
When analytics is allowed for your visit, we may load Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics (or equivalent) to understand which pages are visited, how readers find rankings, and where the experience can improve. In consent-required regions, those scripts wait for Accept. Elsewhere they may load unless you turn them off below.
Advertising cookies
When advertising measurement is allowed, we may load Google Ads tags for measurement, conversion tracking, or remarketing, and we may store advertising click identifiers (such as Google Ads gclid, gbraid, or wbraid) in a first-party cookie or local storage for about 90 days so return visits can still be attributed. In consent-required regions these stay off until you accept; elsewhere they follow the same default-and-control rules as analytics.
Manage preferences
Use the controls below anytime. An explicit “Turn off” choice is stored in your browser and honored on later visits, including outside consent-required regions.
Analytics & ads cookies
Your region requires consent before we load Google Tag Manager or advertising tags. Current status: Waiting for choice.
First-party click attribution
Some product links on ToolStackPulse are routed through our own redirect so we can attribute referrals without sharing advertising click IDs with partners. When you click an outbound product link, we may:
- create a short-lived, opaque first-party
click_idand append it to the partner URL; - if an advertising click identifier is still available from the landing URL or the current browsing session, record a mapping between that identifier and the
click_idon our servers.
Partners receive the opaque click_id (for example as a sub-ID), not your Google Ads click identifier. This server-side mapping is part of completing the click you initiated. It does not by itself load analytics tags. Long-lived advertising cookies and tags still follow the regional rules above.
Affiliate and partner cookies
Some outbound product links are affiliate links. When you click them and leave ToolStackPulse, our partners may set their own cookies or receive limited referral data (including our opaque click_id) so a commission can be attributed. Tracking on the partner site is controlled by that partner's policies.
Preference storage
If you use the banner or the controls on this page, your choice (allow or turn off non-essential cookies) is stored in your browser so we can honor it on later visits.
How to change your choice
Use the controls on this page, the cookie banner when it appears, or clear site data for www.toolstackpulse.com in your browser settings. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser controls. Blocking all cookies may limit some site features.
